Kotniz, a company based in Poland known for its production of stainless steel and aluminum components for sailing boats, motor yachts, and mega yachts, has recently acquired a majority stake in the Italian firm Metalstyle. Metalstyle, which operates from Carasco and San Colombano in Genoa, employs 25 people and has been a significant player in the market for over 50 years. This strategic acquisition is a key part of Kotniz's ambitious 'Golden Marine Triangle' project, which aims to create a robust European naval hub by integrating a network of companies located in Poland, Portugal, and Italy. The overarching goal of this initiative is to achieve total revenues of 50 million euros within the next five years. Following the acquisition of Metalstyle, Kotniz's total revenue has already reached 33 million euros, supported by a workforce of 475 employees and five production facilities spread across Europe. These facilities cover an area exceeding 17, 500 square meters and boast a production volume of over 200, 000 products annually. The 'Golden Marine Triangle' project places a strong emphasis on Italy's pivotal role, with plans for recruitment and productive investments designed to strengthen the existing production base in the country. This will be achieved by leveraging Metalstyle's facilities. To ensure business continuity, the current management team at Metalstyle will remain in place, led by Luca Biagi, the commercial and general manager. Under Biagi's leadership, Metalstyle has carved out a significant role as a partner to major players in the shipbuilding industry. Metalstyle's product range includes certified watertight and fireproof doors, furniture, nautical components, and onboard steel. By joining forces with Kotniz, Metalstyle becomes part of a company that has been collaborating with shipyards worldwide for 45 years and is currently experiencing a phase of rapid expansion, with revenue growth exceeding 30% over the past three years. The financial advisory for this acquisition was provided by Translink, through its Italy and Poland divisions. Sebastian Nietupski, shareholder and CEO of Kotniz, expressed that this agreement will enable the creation of a significant nautical hub, with Italy playing a central role due to its concentration of leading companies producing luxury yachts and boats. Luca Biagi, on the other hand, described the acquisition as a 'win-win operation, ' allowing Metalstyle to join an international network of companies while maintaining managerial autonomy.
