The Amerigo Vespucci's stop in Tokyo, featuring the Italian Village exhibition, drew an impressive 63, 000 visitors, highlighting the success of promoting Italian culture and industry in Japan.
This event not only showcased Italy's excellence but also strengthened institutional, economic, cultural, and scientific relations between the two nations.
Over five days, 25, 000 people boarded the ship, while the Italian Village hosted numerous exhibitions and events.
The initiative, led by the Italian Ministry of Defense and supported by ten other ministries, was organized by Difesa Servizi and the agency Ninetynine.
The Italian Village, part of a global tour that includes eight cities, serves as a platform for showcasing Italian innovation and fostering international cooperation.
Upcoming stops include Darwin, Singapore, Mumbai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Jeddah.
Each location will feature a unique identity, tailored to the host city's characteristics.
The Tokyo event also achieved significant online engagement, with over 65 million views and 8.5 million interactions across six dedicated channels.
The Italian Village hosted 40 events and 90 hours of programming, including wine tastings, cooking shows, and musical performances by the Italian Opera Academy and the Accademia Teatro alla Scala.
This initiative marks a new era in Italy-Japan relations, as noted by the Italian Ambassador to Tokyo, Luigi Benedetti, and Admiral Antonio Natale, Commander of the Italian Navy Schools.
