Growth and Expansion at the 64th Genoa International Boat Show

The upcoming 64th Genoa International Boat Show, taking place from September 19 to 24, 2024, is poised to highlight the ongoing growth in the nautical industry.
This year's event sees a 16% rise in online ticket sales compared to the same period in 2023, alongside an expansion of 5, 000 square meters in exhibition space.
The Italian nautical sector continues its impressive trajectory, marking the seventh consecutive year of double-digit growth in both revenue and employment.
Current estimates suggest over 30, 000 direct employees in 2023, up from 27, 000 in 2022, with the entire supply chain surpassing 200, 000 workers.
Despite a slight dip in the small boating segment, overall revenue growth exceeds 10% in 2023.
The show will be held at the former Fiera del Mare area in Genoa, part of a waterfront redevelopment project designed by Renzo Piano, expected to be largely completed by 2025.
This redevelopment allows the show to reclaim the historic Palasport exhibition space.
The event will feature over 1, 052 brands and 1, 030 boats, with a total exhibition area of 220, 000 square meters, 85% of which is outdoors.
The number of international exhibitors has also increased, with 23 new participants in the production segment alone.
Over 100 new products will be showcased, including 30 premieres.
Andrea Razeto, president of I Saloni Nautici, emphasizes the show's role in consolidating the sector's growth, despite global economic challenges.
The event will also mark a return to the main entrance at the Palasport, enhancing the visitor experience.
Vice Minister of Infrastructure, Edoardo Rixi, anticipates the 2024 show will highlight advancements in the waterfront project, reinforcing Genoa and Italy's leadership in the nautical sector.
He also announced upcoming appointments for the Port Authority of Genoa and Savona.
